On Thursday 8th June 2017 in Sydney, Good Design Australia, Australia’s most prestigious awards for design and innovation, announced the 2017 Good Design® Award winners after an extensive evaluation process involving more than 35 Australian and international design experts.
JURA’s WE8 Professional automatic coffee machine was one of only around 100 entries overall to receive a 2017 Good Design® Award, with the Jury commenting:
“The WE8 is a fit for purpose design in any commercial environment. A challenging design brief that has been executed very well. Designing a product for this environment of use is very challenging where elements such as clean user-interface design and un-complicated and intuitive controls are essential - the Jura WE8 deliverers these elements in a beautiful and high-tech package that is a joy to use.”
The Jury set the bar very high this year with only the very best submissions receiving this level of recognition.
On receiving the Award, George Liakatos of JURA Australia:
“We are always thrilled to receive acknowledgement in these awards. We know the judging criteria is of the highest calibre and of course it is always satisfying to be acknowledged at this level by your peers. The WE8 provides next-level coffee quality in a professional environment, as well as being intuitive to use, easy to clean, and ticking the sustainability box with the use of fresh beans, and not capsules or pods.”
Australia’s Good Design Awards date back to the 1950's and have an enviable record of unearthing globally recognised talent and products.
