The cleaning programme of your IMPRESSA S9 One Touch can be started at any time in two ways:
When COFFEE READY / CLEAN MACHINE is displayed, briefly press the maintenance button. DURATION 20 MIN. / START YES appears on the display. Follow the instructions on the display.
When COFFEE READY is displayed, open the cover on the left-hand side and press the Rotary Switch until MAINTENANCE appears. Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item. Now turn the Rotary Switch until CLEAN MACHINE is displayed. Press the Rotary Switch again. DURATION 20 MIN. / START YES appears on the display. Follow the instructions on the display.
Do not switch off your IMPRESSA S9 One Touch to start the descaling programme.
The descaling programme of your IMPRESSA S9 One Touch can be started at any time in two ways:
When COFFEE READY / DECALCIFY MACHINE is displayed, briefly press the maintenance button. DURATION 45 MIN. / START YES appears on the display. Follow the instructions on the display.
When COFFEE READY is displayed, open the cover on the left-hand side and press the Rotary Switch until MAINTENANCE appears. Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item. Now turn the Rotary Switch until DECALCIFY MACHINE is displayed. Press the Rotary Switch again. DURATION 45 MIN. / START YES RINSE appears on the display. Follow the instructions on the display.
If DECALCS remains displayed for a long time, this means the descaling programme was started with too much liquid or water was replenished before the tank was empty.
If DECALCIFY MACHINE is displayed even though the CLARIS filter cartridge is inserted, this means the filter was not activated in programming mode.

When COFFEE READY / CHANGE FILTER is displayed, briefly press the maintenance button. DURATION 2 MIN. / START YES appears on the display. Press the maintenance button. Follow the instructions on the display.
When COFFEE READY is displayed, open the cover on the left-hand side and press the Rotary Switch until MAINTENANCE appears. Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item. Turn the Rotary Switch until CHANGE FILTER is displayed. Press the Rotary Switch again. DURATION 2 MIN. / START YES appears on the display. Follow the instructions on the display.
If the Easy Cappuccino frother / fine foam frother is to fulfil your coffee dreams, it needs to be cleaned regularly.
If the Professional Cappuccino Frother / Professional fine foam frother is to fulfil your coffee dreams, it needs to be cleaned regularly.

If the milk is not frothed, this means the Professional Cappuccino Frother / Professional fine foam frother is blocked. Remove the frother and clean it thoroughly.
DECALCIFY MACHINE is displayed despite the CLARIS filter cartridge being used.
DECALCS is displayed for a long time.
FILL SYSTEM / PRESS RINSE are displayed alternately.
COFFEE READY is displayed but the coffee does not taste good.
To ensure that your IMPRESSA or ENA produces top-quality coffee and functions correctly, the machine should be cleaned and maintained on a daily basis. You should proceed as follows:
To ensure that your machine provides satisfaction for a long time and to avoid repairs, please note that the grinder on your JURA coffee machine is not suitable for coffee beans that have been treated with additives (e. g. sugar) during or after roasting.
Use of such coffee mixtures can result in damage to the grinder. Any repair costs incurred as a result are not covered by the warranty provisions.
