31/03/2016 - Partnering with Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea 2016

Melbourne, February 2016 – Jura Australia, with Cancer Council, today announced their partnership with Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea; Australia’s largest host based charity event and one of the most successful fundraising events of its kind.

JURA will be showing their support this Mother’s Day by donating $50 from the sale of each domestic coffee machine through April and May, by holding morning teas in retail stores and through staff fundraising across Australia.

A donation of $50 ensures a cancer nurse is available on a free, confidential telephone service (13 11 20) to offer support on all aspects of cancer. The Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea, at its heart, it’s all about chatting over freshly brewed JURA coffee, enjoying some delicious food, and raising money for a great cause.

George Liakatos, Jura Australia:

“We’re thrilled to have partnered with Cancer Council on this iconic event. You will often hear us use the expression ‘be your own barista’ because Jura machines really do make it easy for people to make a perfect coffee at home. We felt the idea of this aligned perfectly with the Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea values of bringing people together to share time, and in this case also raise funds.”

With research showing Australia’s continued fondness for coffee, it could be that many people’s traditional morning ‘tea’ is in fact now a morning ‘coffee’. Jura plan to work closely with the Cancer Council team, and its network of retail partners, to deliver the Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea message nationally through April and May 2016 – leading into the official event date on 26th May 2016 - to ensure this morning pastime continues to generate much needed funds.
